Sally wrote The Heart of Meditation to help individuals-seasoned meditators as well as beginners-experience deeper and more powerful meditation. Written under her former monastic name of Swami Durgananda, the book arose from Sally's experiments with her own practice. "In the early 90's, my meditation had become routine," she explains. "I needed to make a breakthrough, so I began to explore practices from my own tradition and from classical yogic texts, looking for doorways to deeper experience."

The Heart of Meditation was the result. Many readers say that the book has transformed their meditation. It is filled with insights, answers, and practical hints from a teacher who has helped thousands to explore the inner world.

Ken Wilber says...
"A wise, wonderful, beautiful book. The Heart of Meditation is surely one of the very best introductions to the art of meditation, which means that it's an introduction to your real Self."
Ken Wilber, author of One Taste, and The Marriage of Sense and Soul
